Graduation sessions at NC State University are some of my favorite sessions! This session with Kaashvi we did at the beginning of May, celebrating her graduating from the NC State Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering program! It was really important to her that we got a lot of graduation photos with her family, and I absolutely love when family comes along to our grad sessions, it adds so much meaning to the session as they are a large part of your journey to this point!
For NC State graduates, there are so many beautiful options for locations. We started out at the NC State Memorial Belltower to get some of the iconic photos, then headed over to Holladay Hall, and the area near the College of Design. They make for such a beautiful backdrop for senior portraits. Holladay hall is one of my favorites NC State graduation photo locations because you can get the belltower in the background and it is a wonderful spot for family photos without the crowds.
Kaashvi brought some props, including a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of Champagne, so of course we had to include that in the photos! Props are a great way to make your graduation sessions unique. We ended the session with a champagne pop at the 1911 building. Such a fun way to celebrate the end.
Graduation sessions like these remind me how much I love these sessions. These phots aren't just about the cap and gown, they are about celebrating and recognizing the support and hard work that got you here.
If you are planning your own graduation photo session at NCSU, I definitely recommend thinking about what locations are meaningful to your journey, and if there are any props that would add to your photos and make them more unique!
